Mind Body Freedom was inspired by a breakthrough I had while exploring ways to holistically heal my stress-induced chronic illness and better my mental health. For 4 years I suddenly developed chronic eye twitches and facial spasms induced by stress and unresolved trauma. My self esteem was beaten down, I was too self-conscious to even leave my house.

In 2018, my stress was at it's peak and health was rapidly declining. I visited several doctors and neurologists just to be told to "relax." I remember feeling helpless in that moment, as stress management was never taught to me. All the doctors could offer me was quick-fix medications and botox for my spasms. I knew their method was just putting a band-aid on the root of the problem. It was not in my awareness at the time that healing began with me.

 

I decided in the next 3 years to learn everything I could on stress management and how to regulate my nervous system. I received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Healthy Lifestyle & Exercise Science and now specialize in strength, mobility, flexibility, and mindfulness. I found a sense of freedom by using physical activity to unlock the different ranges of movement capacity within my body. I also spent years practicing QiGong, TaiChi, and meditation to find safety in my mind and body.

I have always found interest in how the mind and body works and after overcoming my chronic illness, I decided my life purpose is dedicated to helping others reconnect with their mind and body naturally.

My goal is to help you manage your stress + anxiety, build confidence in your body and how it moves, and create sustainable, healthy behaviors and habits for a happier experience of living.
